Knocked out of Emeraldbet tour on wrong ruling!

People, this is a true surreal story am about to tell, yes yes, get your popcorn ready folks. This story has very little to do with different rules or house rules,  because I can’t even in my wildest fantasy imagine anyone really having this rule, it’s just plain and simple a ruling that went wrong,  so wrong.  Am almost glad I was not there to witness it, since I probably would have trashed the place :) even if I was not in the hand.  I will never  understand players that don’t speak their mind when they know something is wrong, just because it has nothing to do with them, in my book that is not cool.

And before anyone think am hanging out places and people you should all know I did send an email to the specific casino asking for their version and explanation, a friendly mail i must add, :)  and I reminded them 2 times, and given them plenty of time to answer, and they have not replied. I also asked them to deny or confirm if it was their own floor or if it was the organizers floor man who ruled. They have not answered any of this. And if anyone of you get the crazy idea thinking why the fu** should they answer this odd person, i let you know that i am a customer in this casino and i want to know their explanation before going there again, in fact  wanted to come and play the side events for this event, and i explained that in the email,  but not before having an explanation and then take my decision on to play or not. I believe thats nothing strange at all.

The hand is played out during the Emeraldbet Tour at Casino Venezia, Malta this weekend. Main event buy in 640+60 euro. The hand/ruling is on day 1. (i didn't play this event, too few players)

Lets not to have too many opinions on the hand or how it’s played, bet sizes, position and all those stuff’s because in this case it’s not important but yea it’s a madness hand from start to end but the ruling of the hand is what is so shockingly horrible, scary wrong.

Italian bets out on the flop that is: QQ4
Finnish player raises and Italian calls.

On turn our Italian player shoves all in, and big brave Finland decides to call.  Please remember Italy is now ALL IN and covered. When Finland says call, Italy says:
– I’m beat. And throw his cards face down over the line.Finland shows 42, and Italy realizes he has still a shot to win the pot as he has 63 and need a 6 to win. So Italy says: I thought you had the nuts but I still got outs, am not folding!
Well he can NOT fold as he is all in!

And here is where it really gets wicked, floor is called and rules the Italian’s hand DEAD and its dealt a river card, that of course, you probably already guessed, yes, is a 6.

One really has to wonder about the poker God’s ehh?

But this is so unbelievable wrong. A player that are all in and called can NOT get his hand killed, the dealer should instantly turn his card open even though player turn them face down. That is basic rules in tournament poker. Pot is given to Finland and Italy is knocked out, when in fact he would have doubled up and be good and well in the tour again.

1: Why was the hand not flipped face up by dealer?
2: Why is the hand declared dead by floor man?
3: Why if hand is dead, is there being dealt a river?

Anyone care to enlighten me?

Well.. not demand, but i think the pictures is sweet :)

Poker in Malta has really developed last 2 years, the dealers and floors we getting over here for international events are normally very good, and I can’t enough say how much I as a player enjoy playing under floors like, Rodolfo Zirio, Nicola Mazza, and Luca Vivaldi. Of course you all know my favorite is Christine Sammut, now working the floors of Portomaso Casino, but it’s getting a bit odd me giving her soo much credit all the time, her boyfriend, is starting to look evil on me, so lets leave her out :)

Anyway, I wanted a clarification on this from Casino Venezia as I can’t see how I ever can recommend anyone going there if this is the kind of unprofessional rulings one risk to face, but they have not answered me or to my knowledge done anything to compensate the Italian player. It is not the players job to know all the rules and be alert 100% of the time, this is why we have floors and dealers. So I guess, to sum it up, look very careful on what floor is in charge of the tournaments you decide to play, I for one would never again play under 1or 2 floors I have met during my years, I rather sit in the bar drinking espresso and zipping Sambuca!

-who am I kidding everyone knows am not ever zipping Sambucas, it has to go down in one fast movement!

Raphael Toledo on fire!

October 2008 I moved to Malta, and I knew really few here, only a very sweet Swedish girl called Emma, that you guys now know, she been in many of my blogs. Working from home as I did then made me crave for company and it turned out me going to the casino for some poker action 3-4 nights a week. Pretty soon I realized that some players are friendlier then others, and some are more interested in developing their games then others, and some, well let’s just say am not necessarily eager to spend time with them outside the casino. There is a handful Maltese players i somehow fear more then others on a table, one is for an example, Jacques Balzan Demajo and another one is Raphael Toledo

And people, this is my blog, I write what I want and this post is about him because I simply think he deserves it and I like him – a lot! He is such a cool person and Rafael very fast became one of my absolute favorite among all the Maltese players, he is the kindest soul ever, rarely complain and whine over hands and play completely fearless. If he get a beat he takes it very good, and knows it’s just poker, it evens out in long run. He also, more important, has 5 dogs, that’s a big plus in my book. Others show me pictures of their kids, Rafael show me pictures of his dogs, right there I knew this is someone I will like. And people, when I say completely fearless, I really mean that, with Rafael one never know what to expect card wise.

We started to talk hands and discussed poker back then and I really sensed he wanted to be, still fearless of course but perhaps a bit more, to put it nicely, organized fearless :)

A
nd now am so so happy to say he found his place and form and going better and better! He is a very good cash game player but its not until recently he been going very strong on tournaments too and during Peoples Poker Tour last week he took two satellite tickets (!) and busted just before the money in the main event on a very very unlucky hand where board double paired and made his 2 opponents splitt the pott with K high instead of the pair Rafael was holding. He recharged his energy and came back day after, signed up for a side event and spitted it 6 ways, well done!
I played that sideevent too, so did around 130 hungry Italians, and some of them really good respected  players indeed, so super well done to Rafael. I busted just before the money, but stayed around to the end and saw Rafael very patiently play very well and use his position to take down several nice pots; he was quite card dead but still managed to get a good chop of the price pot and put the Maltese flag on the finaltable!

This weekend it was the Emeraldbet tour at Casino Venezia and with a quite deepstacked tourney it was set for many hrs play, and am so proud Rafael kept his patient all the way and ended heads up, and here I got even more impressed as they played heads up for nearly 4 hrs, and I think they would continued even longer if Casino didn’t announce they have to close 04.00 so they have to be ready in 30 min! (yea weird I know) I was railing over live feed and its actually very very interesting how much more signs, tells and body language one realize about players watching careful as an outsider not focused on playing oneself. Maybe the security railing us behind casinos closed door is genius in tells? Perhaps. One never know!

They started the finaltable 16.00 and finished 04.00, that’s a long day in the office folks! It makes me extra happy Rafael made it all way to heads up due to this. He maintained his stack all the way and one point heads up he was holding around 70 % of the chips but as well all know, all it takes is a few hands that don’t go as planned and in the end Rafael finished second.

Still, this is a very good result for the Maltese poker community, and am very glad it was this particular player who claimed the second price! First position in Emeraldbet tour went to Ivan Barczi, who has a few prior results on Hendonmob and also did show a very strong game all trough the finaltable. Well done to him!

And to sum it up, lots of RESPECT to Rafael from me, and i sincerely mean this. He has really developed his game, he is always eager to listen to opinions, always ask others for how would you played this hand. If more players did that, it would just be so much more interesting to listen to everyone's bad beat stories!

And he is funny :), in a phone call in one of the breaks on Emeraldbets Finaltable, he ask me: Anna i got so much more chips then them now, is it ok to start playing small suited connectors? Haha and the way he said it really made me smile and i know he said it ironic to me as i always keep telling him that folding is a big key to the success in tournament poker, and one need to have a great calm mind and tell one self, am not bored, am NOT bored and as a cash game player that sometimes is not so fun to hear! But I really put my hands up, because he mastered these feelings and now really playing a very solid tournament game. Cant wait to get some big events over here again so he can show those espresso drinking, flat handbags nice smelling gorgeous looking  young boys, yeaaaa THE Italians, (that we all love of course), show them some kick ass Maltese Toledo poker!

Hep hep my darlings out there!
Do well, do good, have fun and remember, play all your spades, its really not harder than that!

Thanks to www.pokerjam.it for the live blog during the event and the pictures.

Hot in bed tonight i must admitt!

Sometimes it sucks living alone, like now when i am desperate for someone to put cream on my back because the sun was a tiny bit to harsh on me today,  yea yea i did use sunblock mum, but its freaking hard to get it on your back, really, try and you see. Also sucks living alone when i wake up thirsty middle of night and have to go out to the kitchen MYSELF to get a bottle of water....or take my dog out when am really really really tired, then i could do with a man.

And why is it that the small 200 ml glasbottles of Perrier taste sooo sooo much better then the big ones, or the plastic ones, or ANY other water for that mater?
It really puzzles me.

Or do i like them better because when i snap the cork and drink it i feel like drinking some hex potion from age of time that will make me invisible or have very long hair, because this little bottle is so cute reminding me of some cartoon i must have seen way back and stored in my mind where they boil something over fire and pour into tiny tiny green Perrier ish look alike bottles? Yea could be, i dont know, yea most likely. OMG, ghaaaa... sometimes i even scare myself!!
If i start talking to myself can you ever so kindly let me know ?

Am up late, again , sorry boss,  but it was worth it, I been up railing a dear friend who been heads up for 4 hrs in a live tour that had live feed and tomorrow i will make a really nice blog dedicated only to him! Also followed the play down to FT in IPT Campione where i knew a few ppl going deep, and sadly it couldn't be Catania area who take 3 in a row, Francesco Tropea that been doing so well busted just before FT,  these young boys from Catania: Francesco, Walter, Nicolaj ect, are coming strong!  What are they feeding them over there in Catania, small Perrier bottles with winning  potion????

Luuuve and peace!

Walter Treccarichi wins PPT Malta 2011... with Spades :)

We just finished off yet another great big Italian influenced tourney here in Malta, Peoples Poker Tour. I was told, instructed, urged, yelled, ordered, and so on and on, by ALL my Italian friends that this is one NOT to miss, most of the players have qualified for a very small amount online and is to be considered low standard. Well.. in all fairness I saw a lot of the players I respect and played with before here so not so sure of this, but yes ofc saw many players that also seemed to be needing a tiny bit more strategic talks :) ( I try to avoid the D word as you all know that sometimes we all are donks ..myself included )

I did not play this tour, I found the buy in of 1650 Euro too high for a little fish like me and also why play when you already know who is going to win!! Seemed like a stupid idea all together to challenge faith like that so I skipped this one.

Yea yea, sometimes one just know,  and I knew it already during GOLDBET's Poker Live Adventure, weekend prior, and I told him…. then during the satellite play day before PPT I got even more sure.  If there would been some live betting on this I would with NO hesitation bet money on it. And I was right, and am very sure me rubbing my spade tattoo so it’s almost faded helped him a lot, in fact I think it be impossible without it :)… at one point I rubbed too much and his opponent almost got a spade flush against him but luckily I realized my mistake and stopped in time. It was a bit confusing as I played the sideevent and only could rail his allin’s via the Italian speaker, so I misunderstood the hand, sorry for the scary moment there Wally, won’t happen again.

Am so very happy that Walter Treccarichi won PPT Malta 2011, not only is he a very good player, I like his play style a lot, we been on several tables together. But also, he is such a nice sweet person, always smile and behave excellent at the table as well as of it. Also, he always respects my 3-4 bets, for that alone he is well worth taking any tour down, as in all fairness my 3-4 bet can mean anything at all haha! I always called him my mascot, but am not sure I can use him for that anymore as he clearly deserve a far better nickname. Wally the champ!

They tell me it’s A6 of clubs he won with, but I really can only see spades, I guess they did some kind of mistake, but that’s ok, as long as we know how it really was!*

Lots love and happiness to you all out there, and to all my friends playing the IPT Campione, i wish you best of luck, i be following the forums for updates! Especially extra good wishes to Eros Nastasi who i really hope make a back to back !

Dinner, wine and... a tattoo !

Another random afternoon/evening with my Princes Ina took place yesterday, it really can end anyhow, this one ended, after dinner and wine, with me getting a tattoo, well I been thinking about it for a while so it’s not a huge shocker, but For Ina to suggest we go and see if he is open and then 1 hr later come out with a tattoo, well, lets say it’s good to have a strong heart in our company!

Here is a picture while he was doing it, i post a better one when its healed. And its healing good, haven't been any complications at all. So dont worry mum, your youngest done far more dangerous stuff :)

Poker Live Adventure Malta 2011, Road To Finaltable

Phuaaa.. now i feel slowly my energy coming back, been exhausted by the big Italian poker crowd that entered the island last week for the GOLDBET's tour and now this week next batch is on its way for the People Poker Tour.

Madness i been informed :) yeaaay! We like! Place is Portomaso casino, and i must say they really stepped up, big congratulations to job well done!

Evil tongues in the local poker crowd said its only lucky people who can reach the final table and it has nothing to do with skills, also heard my final table seat was worth nothing as i folded myself to it. Am very surprised to hear these things really, since they played with me for 3 years and know if anyone like to play aggressive its me, and i never hesitate to put my stack up for grabs and in all fairness are doing quite well, so if i sit still for 4 hrs doing nothing they should know i have not got anything to do a damn thing with. Pushing any two would not win the tourney, neither can one win the tourney until the last day.

I finished 7 th of 350 players and with my stack there where no options, seeing only crap hands, and knowing i get called as being so short stacked on FT i wanted at least to hold an ace in my hand or any suited connectors. UTG i look down on A5 and is no hesitation am all in, folded round to BB he has to put in another 160 k and with his 1.5 million stack he dont even look at his card, he calls, i would do the same. He has K6 flops 2 pair and am out. But still very happy to make it so far considering all.

A few hands that sticks out during the tour is ofc the day1A hand where i get very lucky with 77 against Giuseppe Bevilacqua's KK but i honestly though i had the best hand, sure turn was a lucky card for me but... ah well see for your self. Also to note.. preflop when he raised i joked and said now i will crack your aces, we both laugh take on our sunglasses and make fun.... :)

Blinds are 150/300.
Am SB and have 77.
UTG + 4 (not UTG as the forums writes it) raise to 900, he holds KK. I call, its another 750 for me with a middle pair, nothing odd at all on these blinds.

BB calls as well.
Flop: 2-4-10 two hearts.

I check, BB bets out 1000, Originaly raiser makes it 2500. Here i honestley really think i got the best hand, putting him on AK and sure BB can have a 10 but i also know he will get out of the way. I pop it up to 7500. And i think here he should have pushed with his KK, i would have folded then.
He calls and pot it now around 20k.  Turn 7.

I check again, He bets out 8000, he is left with 12 000 behind. If i take an all in and lose against him, i still will have 30 k on this levels of 150/300 so i decide to do so, and push him all in. He calls remaining 12 000 and shows KK, he also had K of hearts and turn was 7 of hearts so sure it was as bit scary, but river lands a 10 and pot it mine. Big drama :) and am sooo lucky accordingly to everyone, well yea sure turn was a very lucky card, my repop on flop was a move to see where i am with my 77 and since he just called it.. ah well... i won :)

A bit later i get moved, we are still on day1, the table am moved to looks hard to me there are 3 players i know very well from here in Malta and one is Jacques Balzan Demajo, a very agressive strong player, and he sitting with chipleader stack of 170.000 and i got around 95 000. so i dont really want to battle with him. I also feel am getting super tired, its last 2 levels of the day and am close to falling a sleep. I pick up a few small potts and lose a few other small ones, basically folding staying out of action as am really tired. Then i for a reason god alone knows i decide to play a crap hand, am in mid position and should really just throw this hand away but i decide to open up with 57 of hearts. dont ask me why , i dont know :) was not even spades haha!

Everyone folds to BB he calls.
Its a player that had a big stack but taken some hits last 30 minutes so i sense a bit frustration from him.
Flop comes K K 4 two hearts. We both checks.
Turn 8 i bet out to see if i can take it down here, he calls.

River 3 of heart completing my flush. I check, after all my flush is not very high and there is a pair board, sure he was BB he can have K9... i check, he bets out, almost pot size of 22 k.
I call he shows J high. I win with my flush and ofc am the donk here in all ppls eyes but seriously, if he wants to fight with that he should make much stronger appearance on all streets. Its not like i bad beated his K he had J high. Get over it ppl :)

My seat draw for day 2 was a good table, some familiar faces and several new ones, i had Max Rosa on my right and that was a really nice experience, a nice man that clearly knows poker very very well. Seated on the table was also Salvatore Castorina that i know from the final table in prince of poker, and we clashed in a few hands, this one is a fold from me that i will remember for a while :)

I open utg for standard raise, blinds 3000/6000 he klick me, i call.
Flop comes 2-4-J two diamonds. I got QQ, i check it to him, since he re raised me, and yes he put his stack in the middle. If i call here am left with 70 k, if i fold am left with 190 k.

It was not an easy fold but after some thinking i folded and he showed me AA. I felt only hand he can do this with is KK, AA or possible AK of diamonds. some of the poker players here in Malta that i play on regular base in the casino told me it was a very bad fold, and i think it shows we think completely different, i think it was as good fold, i folded because of many things, mostly also because i played him before and i know he must have a very strong hand to do this action to me. In fact, if he check and turn is blank he prop get my stack, so thx Castorina :)

In order to go deep, you JUST as well as to play your cards hard and pick positions need to know how to fold a big hand.

I enjoyed the tournament a lot, nice ppl, and got to know so many new Italians and again saw so many familiar faces. And these floors, supervisors and dealers that are here now are very good, i really appreciate playing with them on duty, i really respect this crowd, they are firm, clear, speak good English and also very very pleasant, can take a joke or two and still have a lot of respect with themselves. Big big thumbs up to Rodolfo Zirio, Nicola Mazza, Luca Vivaldi,Daniele Catalano and all their crew.

And... really ... the tie's they wear are great, i wanted to steal several of them! In fact, i think i will,  they be here for this weeks tour as well so... hold on tight to those Belissima Cravetta  :)

Also a big improvement to have Christine with us now at Portomaso, she is an excellent supervisor and a very good friend, and super service minded.

I enjoyed playing in the old pokerroom, its silent, no slots, but the air condition really needs to be on or one cant breath in there, its been like this several years and i know its hard to change, in fact the AC is a weak point in the whole of Portomaso, even upstairs, strange it cant be done better in such great facilities. Also they need to have lots of waitresses coming over so one can order drinks, it was really understaffed and the poor girls where running their feet of for us. Well done to them, especially Dani that is such a adorable sweetheart.

Now.... a days rest and next batch of  flat handbags, Espresso drinking drama queens surround us - cant wait. It has become an addiction , and soon, soon, i can feel it, one of these days he be here, my Italian, cos everyone should have an Italian once in their life i been told!

Lots of love to ya all!

Poker Live Adventure - SAMBUCA time!

Alright people, time to wake up and have some fun

Day 2 of GOLDBET's Poker Live Adventure here in Malta is kicking of in a few hrs and hep hep .. wait for it.. wait for it… yes am in, and of the 150 playing day2 am 6 th in chips, so now its just to keep on building stack.
127,900 chips, Average 58.000. Starting on blinds 1000/2000. Good luck me :)!

Been a very well organized event so far and I really like playing in the old space at the Casino, I think they created a very good extra space there for these ‘smaller’ tours. Well done Portomaso!

The adorable little kitty cats that walk around in an outfit that reminds me of catwoman in collaboration with superman is an added value and every time I pass them I just wanna give their cute little bumps a catchy slap, but I control myself as the mature woman I am and just smile.

And oh yes BTW, am THE WOMAN.. google translate is funny, The Italians blogs calls me an equality to ‘madam’ and Google translate that to THE WOMAN, not even A WOMAN but yes, THE WOMAN, so just so you know, am the one, THE WOMAN!

Its almost became an addiction, having the espresso sipping flat handbags drama queens here, its so refreshing and gives me a big boost. When they go home its quiet , dull, dark, and depressing, no drama, not so much shouting, (ahh well we still got Giovanni for our daily dose of that)  not so much smiling and definitely no flirting, I mean after all I am THE WOMAN I need a certain amount of attention to be happy.

I seriously need to learn Italian, even though some of the charm actually is they just speak and speak smiles and hug and kiss you for no reason what so ever and you don’t understand anything, its very relaxing, I don’t have to do anything then smile, wave my hands once in a while, sometime shake my head or put it slightly tipped and am all in the conversation.  But hey hoe, perhaps time to man up and learn some espresso language.

My beautiful, gorgeous Princess Ina played the side event yesterday and placed in top 5, they made a deal that was in benefit for her so am super glad and proud of her! Well done, and I enjoyed every second railing you, screaming for you and  your 1010 against KK and QQ with a big beautiful 10 on the flop was almost as good as some action in the bedroom. Well not Italian bedroom action that is, no words can describe that I been told. And I can really believe it, they have a certain way of stirring you down with those dark eyes so sorry rest of the mankind, you gotta man up. An Italian is da shit , I heard. Am still to explore that, and am waiting less and less patiently dear God, I really really think its time soon.

Also hands in the air for my friend Jacques Balzan Demajo who is Chipleader with 179 0000, we had a good afterski in the bar Thursday night/ morning and a simple drink turned into many but its worth it when its Black Label, it really is some good stuff that one! Get in :)!

Buckle up folks, we are on the go!
Good luck me and see you in the bar in each break… SAMBUCA TIME!

Helloo Prostitudes

After some feverish days with pain in my neck from casino air-condition I decided to yea, let’s go to the casino and enjoy some air-condition – again. Why not.

It was time for Oracles 300 euro buy in tour, with no doubt biggest buy in they ever had there, as it’s the mecca for 10 euro rebuys, it’s our wild wild  west casino here in Malta and I love it, always put a smile on me to see this crazy hands out there, and make me remember poker should be FUN, else don’t do it. Yesterday for an example a man folded his full house because he didn’t know trips where a less good hand, seriously so funny and makes me handle tilt and bad beat very well, it’s my very own therapy center, also don’t to forget the awesome floorman who can stand all these originals, I swear some of them don’t even have teethes … they are so cute!

I got a ticket to this tour in a satellite where we were 10 ppl, unl rebuy 1 hr and it generated a price pool of 650 Euro, :) says it all me think.

Anyway, tour started out crap, all my big hands got cracked, KK, JJ QQ one by one taken down by a massive ACE, because at Oracle it’s a death sin to not play ANY ace so, we do that because Dear God, we do NOT wanna be sinners do we?

In some remarkable way I managed to turn it around and ended up splitting 3 ways.
Afterwards me and Princess Ina, my gorgeous best friend said we don’t really want to end it just here so we entered the big mighty center of Buggiba for a few drinks. It was nice, as always with Ina.
On our way walking to the car, the funniest thing happen, and pls bare in mind both Ina and I are enormously gorgeous classy women,so it really was funny.  We met a group of perhaps 10 chicks in age 16-18, drunk. They pass us and say something that I first thought I heard wrong, but clearly didn’t since Ina heard same thing....... wait for it.. wait for it... ... :

-Helloooo prostitutes….

Haha, WTF?

Ina and I look at each other, keep walking and conversation goes like this
Ina: - they too many, AND they have a black chick with them
Anna: - yea, we have to let this one pass
Ina: - don’t...feels right though
Anna:- I know, next time
Ina: - yea

It was just one of those moments :)..... lots of love to you all.. and Spades!

Dearest, gorgeous sweetest ‘lil sis’ Emma

This blog entry are dedicated to my dearest, gorgeous sweetest ‘lil sis’ Emma!

There are no words to describe how much I right now would want to be by her side in Sweden Casino Cosmopol, where she is about to sit down and  play final 2 table of the Swedish championship of Texas Holdem 2011.

I should be there; I owe it to her, and me, TO US! :)

For an example, not only would my life be so enormously less good without meeting Emma several years back in  a casino in Tallin but also,  I most certainly would not won Malta madness tour in September last year, neither would I have had so much fun doing it. When 6 left she pull me aside and asked me what am I doing,  -I don’t know I said, i feel i am getting run over from right and left! She was at this point slightly tipsy and I was sober, so she decided we need another gear.

Said and done, and no point protesting if Emma made her mind up, she keep coming with Rom and coke in a very even flow, and friends that looked at the live stream texted me asking why I was drinking ice tea, as I don’t really do that, I explained its Rom and coke, but just very little coke! After a few of those strong ones I found my aggressive game back on and manage to win in the end, and again, sorry Luca, you where indeed the best player.

Anyway back to Emma, or my Memmis as I call her, endless are the poker times we had on the Maltese casinos and she is in several of my blog posts. I really do miss you so so much Memmis!

But now you’re in Sweden and am so sure that you go really deep in this tour unless getting into a set up, because you play super steady, good poker, and your very patient. I cant wait to sit down and hear all about your keyhands and discuss them.

And with no doubt you are the most prettiest of them all sitting down, no one can ever beat you on that! Below from EPT Cph, Ladies event, Emma worked for Bet24 then, now she works at Ongame.

IPT Malta May 2011

They were here, again.
Loud voiced, widely waving their hands, wearing flat handbags drinking espresso and 3 betting NEVER folding Italians where back on the rock for another taste of the Poker at Portomaso Casino.
It’s been a very good weekend, many familiar faces and many drinks, :)

Dear God I WILL stop taking sugar in my Espresso starting today, as a bartender kindly advice me it’s not good for me, however he said nothing about the triple vodkas we ordered all the times. But after all he was a bartender, I guess he don’t have the same standard on what’s healthy as most people do.

I didn’t play IPT just some cash games now and then and had a good time doing just that.

IPT was won by Marco Figuccia, congratulations to him, very well played! My favorite for the win on that final table was Marco Bognanni who I watched play during the days and he made a very strong impression. Also a very nice boy, and come on… what’s really up with these boys!??  I can’t for my life remember boys where this cute when I was 20, WHAT are they feeding them in Italy? They all are super charming and got the cutest dimples ever and the fact they don’t understand anything I say makes them just even more cute.

As per usual there were some language barriers but how boring would this world be if there were not some misunderstandings, and how could I know that pronouncing Corleone wrong turned into Coglione, and make my sentence: when I come to Sicily you show me around like the godfather Corelone; turn into something completely different. Ah well…. The guy took it well and I really must stop bringing up Don Corelone all the time as this is the second time it went all wrong.  It’s my fault entirely.

No more Godfather.
No more show me Sicily.
I drive around myself.
Thx :)

Bless ya all and lots of love and smiles all around !
